About this piece
Changing small decorations with the seasons to enjoy their passing in daily life: this culture of shitsurai, arranging one's surroundings, has long been handed down in Japanese homes.
This standing plaque, painted with Hina dolls, is a work by Hakata doll maker Toshiya Honda. Taking up little space, it brings a touch of the festival to places where a full Hina set would be too much.
