About this piece
Miyabi describes the refined elegance of the imperial court. The Hina pair is also called dairi-bina, "court dolls", and in their court dress that elegant world is on full display.
This incense container by Hakata doll maker Toshiya Honda is made to sit well within that world. Set it beside a Hina pair to give the festival arrangement an even more courtly air.
