About this piece
Ebisu, holding a fishing rod and a sea bream, has long been revered as the god of thriving trade and good catches. Daikoku carries a magic mallet and a large sack, and is said to bring abundant harvests and good fortune with money.
In this pair, Ebisu's sea bream is painted red and Daikoku's mallet gold, with gold accents on their robes as well. Small enough to sit in the palm of the hand, they fit easily in an entrance, on a shelf or beside a shop counter, and make a fitting gift for a new business or a new home. A Hakata doll by Toshiya Honda.
